All Things Considered: Paul the Apostle / Evangelical Alliance

Paul the Apostle / Evangelical Alliance

As the Catholic Church celebrates the 2000th anniversary of the birth of the Apostle Paul "All Things Considered" (Sunday 18 January 8.30am, repeated Wednesday 21 January 6.30 pm) looks at the significance on Christian thinking of this hugely influential man. The Jewish scholar turned Christian missionary remains today what he was originally, a controversial but colossal figure whose contribution to the development of the Christian church has earned him the title as its true architect. Peter Baker and guests discuss the character of the man, to what extent his perspectives and principles are still the subject of debate today and what relevance his work has for the contemporary church.

Also, following the recent announcement of the new General Director of the Evangelical Alliance, Steve Clifford talks about his new role, the place of the evangelical church in a changing society and what he sees as his first priorities in the job.
