Marc Canturri's singing career started in Andorra's national boys choir. He studied in Barcelona with Juan Oncina and Carlos Chausson and attended Cologne's Opera Studio and master classes with Montserrat Caballé, Simon Estes, Bruno Pola and François le Roux. Awards include special prize at the Francisco Viñas International Singing Contest in 2007.

His operatic debut was as Malatesta (Don Pasquale) in Barcelona and operas he has also performed in include Faust, Roméo et Juliette, Madama Butterfly, The Rape of Lucretia, Pagliacci, Carmen, Ariodante, Il barbiere di Siviglia, El gato con botas, L'enfant et les sortilèges, Emilia di Liverpool, and Il segreto di Susanna. He has recorded JA Amargós's opera Eurídice for Harmonia Mundi and appears in DVDs of La gazzetta and Boulevard Solitude recorded at the Liceu, Barcelona.

Concert appearances include Fauré's Requiem, Charpentier's Te Deum, Handel's Messiah, Casals' El pessebre, and Orff's Carmina Burana. He has given recitals in France, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Belgium and Colombia. Conductors worked with include Gerd Albrecht, Martin André, Zoltan Pesko, Kent Nagano and Vasily Petrenko.

Directors include Günter Krämer, Calixto Bieito, Peter Konwitschny and Dario Fo. Future engagements include Harlequin (Ariadne auf Naxos) for Opera Oviedo in September.

Marc enjoys learning new languages, skiing, trekking, computers and technology.
