Stand-up comedian and television and radio presenter Chris Corcoran is a well known figure on the UK comedy circuit, whose routines have a distinctly Welsh flavour.
Born in 1974, Corcoran trained as a teacher before moving to London to begin his comedy career. He made his debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 2004, performing his show Welsh Assembly.
Corcoran's television credits include CBeebies programme Doodle Do and children's series Coal Stories. He also voiced the character of Miss Bunny on CÂ鶹Éç show Nelly Nut.
Corcoran has appeared on entertainment show Be..., in Rob Brydon's Identity Crisis, Big Welsh Joke and Little Welsh Joke.
He co-wrote, with comedian and actor Greg Davies (We Are Klang/The Inbetweeners), Those That Can't, a radio series for Â鶹Éç Radio Wales.
In 2009 he supported Rob Brydon on his sell-out tour of Wales and Corcoran regularly supports fellow Welsh funnyman
He recently toured Wales with his first full-length stand-up show What Goes on Tour, Stays on Tour.
Corcoran's first book, Random Thoughts, was published in March 2010 by .
In July 2010 he was named as Wales' first Reading Hero, as part of the Welsh Assembly Government's National Literacy Plan.
