Once babies are up and toddling, you might find that there's one thing they'll love to do鈥 Boogie!
Music has a very powerful effect on us humans, when we hear a beat, even when we're babies, the brain instantly links our hearing to our muscle movements. You could say we've just got natural rhythm.
Dancing's a great way for your toddler to get better at coordinating their movements, but it's good for a lot more too. Dancing releases endorphins, chemicals in the brain that give us energy and positive vibes.
They also make learning easier, cos they boost baby's ability to think about different things at the same time.
Plus, it's great for their social skills, they really tune into other people when they dance together, coordinating their movements whilst learning to share a space.
They'll actually learn new words from a song far more quickly if they can sing and dance to it at the same time. So there's a whole lot they can be learning, all the while, they're showing off those nappy wiggling moves.
