As the restoration work on the historic mechanical Silver Swan at Bowes Museum nears completion - the museum's keen to solve another mystery linked to the treasure.

More than a thousand pieces of silver have been dismantled and documented by experts who say they now want to find out more man who restored the swan in the early 1970s.

His name was Tom Bryson-Smith and Howard Coutts who's a curator at Bowes says they'd love to find his records on the services he carried out.

If you have any information that could help the Bowes Museum solve the mystery, drop them a line via the 麻豆社 Tees Website.
