Ipswich Town's famous five take to the airwaves

With the start of the Championship season fast approaching 麻豆社 Radio Suffolk is delighted to unveil a special team of ITFC heroes to cover Town during their coming campaign.

Bryan Hamilton, Kevin Beattie, Alex Mathie, Trevor Whymark and John Wark are among the former players to join commentator Brenner Woolley for expert analysis.

"We are delighted to add these Town legends to our team", explained 麻豆社 Radio Suffolk's Managing Editor Peter Cook.

The Ipswich heroes will be working alongside Mark Matthews and Brenner Woolley to bring you the best and most comprehensive coverage of Ipswich Town's games.

麻豆社 Radio Suffolk will be providing full match commentary on all Championship and League Cup away matches and all FA Cup matches, both home and away. We will only be providing updates on home Championship and League Cup games, not full commentary.

The team members have a wealth of experience between them and are looking forward to sharing their perspectives on the new season.

The Beat goes on

Kevin Beattie is something of a 麻豆社 Radio Suffolk regular, with frequent appearances on a number of shows. He's regularly been voted the best Ipswich Town player of all time in polls of supporters, having made 296 appearances for Ipswich and winning nine caps for England.

Joining Kevin is former Town midfielder John Wark. He was an essential part of the team which won both the FA Cup and UEFA Cup for Ipswich in the 1978 and 1981 seasons and is just as vital to our team now.

Wark will become a regular contributor to 麻豆社 Radio Suffolk's Matchday Preview show every Friday evening 6-7pm.

Bryan Hamilton

As ever 麻豆社 Radio Suffolk will bring you the Sport Matchday show with Mark Matthews each Saturday 2-6pm and for midweek games 7-10pm. Mark will be in the hot-seat alongside Kevin Beattie, who will be at every home game and also appear as a weekly guest each Saturday lunchtime with Rob Chandler 12-2pm.
