He's got a roof over his head, does voluntary work and has been getting support to deal with his problems, but it's not a permanent home for him. He's hoping to get a housing association flat which will get him off the homeless statistics. In his film he talks frankly and honestly about his problems and his optimism. You can also watch a film made the hostel manager Peter Green by clicking on the 'Video Nation: Hostel boss' link on the right>> In 1966, the Â鶹Éç showed Ken Loach's film "Cathy Come Home."Ìý It dramatised the plight of a couple who slip through the welfare state net and become homeless.Ìý It directly led to the creation of the charity Shelter.
