Leeds Rhinos have signed Salford Red Devils pair Brodie Croft and Andy Ackers on three-year contracts.

Australian stand-off Croft, 26, was named Super League's Man of Steel in his first year at Salford in 2022 and has moved for what the Red Devils say is a "club record transfer fee".

England hooker Ackers, 29, joined Salford in 2020 from Toronto Wolfpack.

"We're delighted to capture these two players," Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington

"It represents a huge investment for us as a club and there is a lot for our fans to look forward to in 2024.

"Apart from being good players, they are outstanding individuals that will bring experience and leadership to the group."

Croft played for Melbourne Storm and Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League (NRL) in his homeland before helping Salford to the Super League semi-finals in his first season.

Ackers, capped twice by his country, was part of England's World Cup squad last year and has played 61 league games across three seasons for the Red Devils.
