Genoa are keen to sign Tottenham defender Djed Spence on a permanent basis.
The Italian club want to acquire the former Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough full-back on a permanent basis but will not pay the full 拢8.5m option to buy in the deal.
They will instead seek to pay a lower fee given Spence impressed while making 16 appearances in Serie A.
Any move is subject to uncertainty surrounding Genoa's ownership under 777 Partners, who agreed to buy a majority stake in Everton as part of their multi-club strategy, but have since struggled to finalise the deal.
