English boss not critical for FA

FA sources suggest they are very unlikely to restrict the selection process to just English managers.

They indicate they want the best person for the job.

They hoped Gareth Southgate would stay, but realised there was a high chance he wouldn鈥檛 extend his contract after the Euros, so they say that they have had a long-standing succession plan that they鈥檙e now deploying.
