Lincoln's Duffy charged with betting on games
Lincoln City forward Dylan Duffy has been charged with multiple alleged breaches of the Football Association's anti-betting rules.
It is said he "placed, instructed, permitted, caused or enabled" bets on 30 matches between August 2023 and April of this year.
Duffy joined the Imps from League of Ireland side UC Dublin for an undisclosed fee during the January transfer window in 2023.
He has scored three goals in 41 league games for the Imps, 11 of them starts.
Duffy has until 18 July to respond to the charge.
In May, Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali was given a suspended two-month ban for placing between 40 and 50 bets on games after joining the Magpies from AC Milan.
And in the same month, Reading head of football operations Mark Bowen was charged with placing 95 bets on matches, although unrelated to the club.
