Southend United kept alive their slim hopes of reaching the National League play-offs as Jack Bridge's two goals helped them to a 4-2 home win against Boreham Wood.
The hosts were three goals up inside 24 minutes to deepen the away side's relegation worries.
Gus Scott-Morriss scored on seven minutes, before James Morton added a second 10 minutes later and then Bridge notched his first.
Cameron Coxe pulled one back three minutes into the second half before after Bridge got his second from the penalty spot on the hour.
Matt Robinson made it 4-2 just three minutes to offer hope of a comeback.
But Wood's sixth straight defeat leaves them three points behind 20th-place Wealdstone, who have two games in hand.
With just three games left, Southend are six points behind seventh-placed Aldershot as they continue their late bid to sneak into the play-offs.
