Mansfield's League Two game against Forest Green is one of several matches across England on Tuesday to have been postponed because of a frozen pitch.

The game was called off at 16:00 GMT after a pitch inspection deemed the surface at Field Mill unplayable.

Five of Tuesday's six scheduled National League matches are also off.

Halifax v Solihull Moors, Oldham v Boreham Wood, Southend v Wealdstone, Woking v Gateshead and York v Dorking have all been postponed.

Leaders Chesterfield's game against Altrincham is the only fifth-tier match currently set to go ahead.

Met Office yellow warnings for snow and ice have been in place for much of northern England throughout Tuesday.

Dorking's visit to York was postponed shortly after 13:00 GMT, with the Surrey club saying their players and supporters were either "already either in York or en route".

York co-chairs Matt and Julie-Anne Uggla have for the rearranged game.

"It seems very unfair to have left it this late to cancel," while apologising to players and fans who had already arrived in Yorkshire.
