Stockport County boss Dave Challinor says their poor performance in their FA Cup defeat by National League side Aldershot Town is a cause for concern.

The Hatters lead the League Two table but are without a win in their past six games in all competitions.

Their current poor form came after they claimed a record-equalling 12 wins in a row in League Two.

"Everywhere on the pitch, no-one came out of the game with any credit," Challinor told 麻豆社 Radio Manchester.

"We were miles off it. I came here two years ago and I can quite happily say I've never been this angry. I might have been frustrated but never this angry.

"We as a group ran over National League teams two years ago. Some of the players out there played in that title-winning National League side and they were nowhere near it.

"That's a worry because in terms of personnel coming back, things aren't going to change."

Stockport offered little in an edgy encounter in Wednesday's tie, while they welcome struggling Sutton United on Saturday hoping to end their recent winless run.

"I don't feel sorry for what happened because I've been managing for 14 years and I can count on one hand the times I've been embarrassed by my team's performance, and tonight is one of them," Challinor added.

"That was nowhere near good enough. It's a huge worry and huge concern because we've got a big three weeks ahead of us with five games against, without being disrespectful, better sides than Aldershot, before we can bring in bodies.

"Based on what I've seen [against Aldershot], we need to bring in plenty of bodies."
