Ìý Microbicides Saturday 8 February 2003 Ìý
AIDS is the fourth leading cause of death in the world, and the leading cause of death in sub-Saharan Africa, where women are now the fastest-growing group of new infections.

This week's New Scientist featured a new idea for tackling the spread of AIDS: microbicides. Its author, Alan Stone has been championing this alternative for the past fifteen years.
Jo Robinson, Health Promotions Officer for the Terence Higgins Trust, and Alan Stone chairman of the International Working Group on Microbicides join Martha to discuss.
