We’re currently experiencing our coldest winter for 30 years and the Arctic temperatures have been hard on our wildlife. If you were watching Snow Watch on Â鶹Éç2 on Wednesday night you’ll have seen that even birds used to the coldest of conditions are struggling to survive including the Bewick’s Swans which arrives in mid October from Siberia to the winter in the UK. Eileen Rees, is Head of Waterbird Conservation for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. She has written a book devoted to the swans to draw attention to their decline in numbers.
