Polycystic Ovary Syndrome affects one in fifteen women worldwide, according to a new study published by The Lancet. PCOS is a complex female endocrine disorder in which tiny cysts develop in the ovaries.ÌýIt can lead toÌýmenstrual dysfunction, infertility, excessive body hair growth, acne, obesity and metabolic syndrome. Is it possible to reverse this condition? And is weight loss the best way to combat it? Jane is joined by Dr Theresa Hickey, one of the authors of the research, Adam Balen, Professor of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, and Julia Clough, trustee ofÌýthe UK PCOS support group 'Verity'.
