Moving on after a suicide attempt
Every year in the UK between 600 and 800 young peopleÌý take their own lives. Huge numbers of young people consider suicide and many thousands of those actually make an attempt. Sarah Parker talks to Rosie and her daughter Ziggy, who attempted suicide recently. Jane explores the issues affecting people whose lives have been touched by suicide with Dr Alice Parshall, Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director at theÌýWest London Mental Healthcare Trust, and Anne Parry, Chair of Papyrus, a charity which campaigns to prevent suicide in young people.
On Sunday 5th October at 10pm, Â鶹ÉçÌýRadio 1’s will be looking at the issue of suicide.
