Women in the City 19 Sept 2008
If more women were in charge in the city would it have stopped the credit crunch?

We’ve all seen the headlines and the images of the current financial crisis: employees clearing their desks at Lehman Brothers and commentators anticipating the possible and personal fallout of the takeover of Halifax Bank of Scotland by Lloyds TSB. But could it all be different? What if more women were in senior positions in the City, what would the credit crunch be like and would it be happening at all? Joining Jane to discuss are Gillian Tett of the Financial Times and Kate Grussing, managing director of Sapphire Partners a recruitment agency who recruit for the city.
