Is decriminalising prostitution the way to make sex workers safe?
On 12th June 2008, Superintendent Alan Caton of Suffolk Police announced that there are no prostitutes on the streets of Ipswich anymore. Eighteen months earlier, five women working as prostitutes inÌýthe townÌýhad been found dead.
In our second report from Ipswich, we hear how, alongside drug rehabilitation, social workers, probation officers and the policeÌýhave helped women trapped in prostitution andÌýour reporter Liz Wallace goes on patrol with Suffolk Police.
