The leading theatre director talks about her career

Katie Mitchell is one of the leading women directors working in the British theatre today. She’s built a reputation for getting her teeth into the heavyweights of the dramatic repertoire – Strindberg, Pinter, Chekhov and Greek tragedy – and radically reinterpreting their plays. Jane will be talking to her as her latest production of Women of Troy opens at the National theatre. Jane talks to Katie Mitchell about the relevance of Euripides’ tragedy about war and her career.

Katie Mitchell’s production of Women of Troy is at the National Theatre until February 27th 2008.
