Where are you from?
Northern Ireland originally, but moved away so long ago I've lost the accent.

What were you doing before Radio 1?
Freelancing in London. A reporter in Cardiff before that.

Best part of the job?
Never knowing where the day will take you.

Worst on air moment?
Collapsed laughing recently actually - luckily during the entertainment news - it was a story about Michael Bolton, just couldn't hold it together!

Three words to describe you...
Bossy but nice.

Advice to anyone who wants to get started in journalism.
Work experience is the only way. Be very polite and enthusiastic!

Osama bin Laden - scoop!

My top three albums ever are:
Chilis -ÌýBlood Sugar Sex Magic
Elvis -ÌýComeback Special (not really an album, more of a TV show but...)
I'm quite partial to a Christmas album

Favourite reporter?
The Â鶹Éç's John Simpson - he's been everywhere and knows no fear. And Tim Marshall because he's just a great broadcaster.

How do you spend your time off?
Tidying, and down the gym now I've finally got round to joining one.
