The 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra, Chorus and Singers are joined by Grammy Award-winning American soprano Angel Blue and one of Britain鈥檚 best-loved pianists, Sir Stephen Hough, for the biggest musical party of the year.

Patricia Kopatchinskaja returns to the Proms to perform Schoenberg鈥檚 Violin Concerto with the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra and Finnish conductor Tarmo Peltokoski. We also hear Vaughan Williams鈥檚 鈥楪reensleeves鈥� Fantasia and Shostakovich鈥檚 Fifth Symphony.

St茅phane Den猫ve leads the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra in an evening of French music. Works by Lili Boulanger and Ravel frame Faur茅鈥檚 elegant, consolatory Requiem and his incidental music for Maeterlinck鈥檚 Symbolist play Pelleas and Melisande.

The 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra remembers Sir Andrew Davis (1944鈥�2024) in this Prom presenting the UK premiere of Steve Reich鈥檚 Jacob鈥檚 Ladder and a pair of pieces close to Sir Andrew鈥檚 heart

The 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor Dalia Stasevska perform a remarkable work by Julius Eastman alongside Sibelius鈥檚 triumphant Fifth Symphony and Gustav Mahler鈥檚 songs of love and loneliness, sung by the inimitable Jamie Barton

Tianyi Lu conducts the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra in Puccini鈥檚 lyrical Preludio sinfonico, Dukas鈥檚 retelling of The Sorcerer鈥檚 Apprentice tale and a new Cello Concerto by Francisco Coll. Rounding off the evening is Stravinsky鈥檚 iconic ballet The Firebird

Sakari Oramo and his 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra perform Richard Strauss鈥檚 spectacular Alpine Symphony 鈥� which calls for an orchestra of 130 musicians 鈥� after Mozart鈥檚 charming Piano Concerto No. 9 and Saariaho鈥檚 hypnotic snapshot of womanhood, Mirage

Yunchan Lim makes his Proms debut with the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra under Paavo J盲rvi, performing Beethoven鈥檚 final piano concerto, the 鈥楨mperor鈥�. Bookending the Prom are Bruckner鈥檚 First Symphony and Estonian composer Erkki-Sven Tu虉u虉r鈥檚 Aditus
