Backstage: BST Hyde Park
This week Nikki is backstage at BST Hyde Park, London
How do the organisers of a major music festival in the heart of London make it all happen? The Arts Hour Backstage goes to BST Hyde Park; 6 concerts over 2 weekends attended by nearly 400,000 people. We talk to the stars and the people behind the scenes who make sure it all goes smoothly.
The UK music festival scene is growing - from the furthest northern Scottish isles to the tip of England - there are festivals cropping up for new music genres in new venues all the time.
And even though London is a busy congested capital, the BST festival in Hyde Park has established a reputation for itself over the last 6 years for attracting the biggest names for a series of summer concerts in the green heart of the city.
Nikki Bedi goes backstage to talk to performers - new and established - as well as the some of the vast team of experts and technicians who set it up and make sure it runs like a well-oiled machine.
Interviews include DNCE, Trombone Shorty, Charlie Wilson, Naomi Scott and Alex Hepburn
