Coronavirus: Californians ordered to stay at home

Governor Gavin Newsom said people should only leave their homes when necessary during the pandemic.

Forty million people in California - the most populous state in the US - have been ordered to stay at home, to help fight the spread of the coronavirus. Residents may still leave their homes to buy groceries, medicine or do exercise. Also: Four men have been executed in India over one of the country's most notorious rape and murder cases, and this month marks the 50th anniversary of Miles Davis鈥� famous jazz album, Bitches Brew.
