Heavy fighting in Mexico as El Chapo鈥檚 son goes free

Security forces and cartel gunmen clashed after drug lord鈥檚 son was discovered

The Mexican authorities have been forced to release a son of the jailed drug lord, 'El Chapo' Guzman, after ferocious gun battles between gang members and the security forces in Sinaloa state. Fighting raged for hours after Ovidio Guzm谩n L贸pez was found and seized during a routine patrol in the city of Culiac谩n. Authorities say Mr Guzm谩n was released to avoid further violence.

Also in the programme, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will try to persuade MPs to back his Brexit deal ahead of what is expected to be a knife-edge vote in parliament tomorrow. And scientists are developing new techniques to monitor whale stranding from satellites in space.
