Sudan military calls snap election after crackdown

Sudan's interim military leaders say agreements with the civilian opposition on a transitional government are being scrapped.
General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan promised that elections would take place within nine months under international supervision. The opposition has been pushing for a rapid transition to civilian rule.
