Bishop Proudie (James Lailey)
The Bishop of Barchester has a large family and a wife who rules supreme over her titular lord
Bishop Proudie (James Lailey)
Trollope describes Dr Proudie as 鈥渁 good-looking man; spruce, dapper and very tidy. Around five feet four, he makes up for the inches which he wants,by the dignity with which he carries those which he has. It is no fault of his own if he has not a commanding eye, for he studies hard to assume it. Others deem him insignificant, but he was not born to wealth, and is now Bishop of Barchester.鈥 However, he has his cares: a large family and a wife who rules supreme over her titular lord.
