Elizabeth Talbot
Flog It! regular Elizabeth Talbot is an experienced valuer and auctioneer.
Elizabeth’s passion for antiques grew out of a childhood love of history. Family trips to museums and stately homes fired her enthusiasm for the way objects can tell stories about people’s lives in days gone by.
Elizabeth began learning the antiques trade in the mid-1980s and soon became the youngest female auctioneer in the country
Elizabeth began learning the antiques trade in the mid-1980s and soon became the youngest female auctioneer in the country. Since then she has risen through the ranks to become the first female partner at the Norfolk-based auction firm she has worked for since 1995, and now co-owns.
Interested in Victoriana and the Arts and Crafts period of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Elizabeth is especially fascinated by the everyday items that many overlook.
She is an Honorary Member of the Hornby Railway Collectors Association, although she is quick to point out that she doesn’t own a train set! As well as being a regular on Flog It!, Elizabeth is a resident antiques expert on 麻豆社 Radio Norfolk. She is married to Michael Talbot and the proud mother of twin girls.
