Bobbie Pryor
Bobbie keeps the nation moving with the travel news on Steve Wright in the Afternoon.
Bobbie landed at 麻豆社 Radio 2 and established the weekend travel service following two years at 麻豆社 Radio 5Live. Her first 'training' shift was with Steve Wright and Johnny Walker - who both declared her 'fit for purpose' and ready to run wild with the likes of Graham Norton, Dermot O Leary and Paul O'Grady.
Bobbie spent her 20s in commercial radio; her first radio home was co-producing a nightly, phone-in show. As commercial radio was big on multi-tasking, they also allowed her to manage the live roadshows, and produce the stations first Music Festival Live from the Whitbread Hop Farm. Then, she gave it all up to become a student.
After a degree in drama, Bobbie became a TV researcher for 麻豆社 Entertainment, and spent four years working her way up the film-crew ladder – the result: fabulous learning curves working on the British Comedy Awards and on music videos for the likes of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and corralling zombies for Sean Of the Dead.
Whilst at Radio 2, Bobbie has also worked as a festival producer at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe; she has contributed to The 麻豆社 Radio 2 Arts Show, and was the UK producer for the all-male, circus troupe Briefs - touring through the UK and Ireland.
When Bobbie is not making things happen in the arts, she rides ponies; has a passion for world circus, and a love of ‘life on the road’.
