‘How I raised millions in memory of dad’
Meet Bromsgrove's Gill Punt, who's run 26 marathons, more than 70 half-marathons and hundreds of 10Ks for Cancer Research UK. She's close to hitting the £2million mark!
In 1999, her loving father Mike died aged 55, after being diagnosed with bile duct cancer. Up stepped his daughter, a PE teacher at South Bromsgrove High School, who has since taken part in more than 200 events.
Gill tells Tom Edwards how this fundraising journey has taken her to Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York City and beyond, with a forthcoming challenge including bringing out her Polar Bear fundraising suit, for the 'PolarNight Marathon' challenge in Norway.
