Can bacteria from the toilet travel to our toothbrushes?
While the bathroom might seem like the most obvious place to keep our toothbrushes, we may want to think twice... After one university released footage of the airborne bacteria that circulate after a toilet is flushed, we sent presenter Briony May Williams to investigate whether this bacteria travels to our toothbrushes and, therefore, our mouths. The results aren't for the faint-hearted! Though the risks of this type of bacteria to health are low, Briony shows us how a once-a-week soak in some mouthwash can help to keep toothbrushes clean and germ-free.
