Worcester's Pride of Britain award winner
Andy Evans picked up the Special Recognition Award alongside two fellow campaigners, for his work with the Tainted Blood group, fighting for justice for thousands.
Andy himself was infected with HIV and Hepatitis C when he was just 5, and was one of 30,000 people in the 1970s and 1980s in Britain who were treated with contaminated blood and blood products.
Victims were repeated blocked in their searches for answers, and this year the official inquiry not only confirmed catastrophic failures in care, but also a cover-up.
Andy tells Tammy Gooding how glitzy the ceremony was, as he and his colleagues were greeted by actor and campaigner Michael Sheen presenting the award.
