The Norfolk woman who changed prisons forever
In the 1800s Norfolk’s Elizabeth Fry brought reform to Prisons that still endures today.
Through her renowned Quaker faith, Norfolk’s Elizabeth Fry became a social reformer and philanthropist, most known for bringing reform to prisons – giving the title ‘Angel of Prisons’.
