Will the Sheffield Dutch-style roundabout be safe?

The new roundabout in Sheffield will be similar to one in Cambridge. Cambridge was the first place to get a Dutch roundabout - However the number of accidents has increased since the roundabout opened but the local council there says more cyclists are using the roundabout.
