Mpox spreading rapidly in Burundi
In the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo - the epicentre of the recent Mpox outbreak - there are concerns the virus will continue to spread to neighbouring countries.
The Â鶹Éç’s Mercy Juma recently visited one of DRC’s neighbours – Burundi – and visited the border town of Gatumba.
While some measures, like temperature checks, have been introduced, other measures, like social distancing, are difficult for the many communities living in close quarters.
