Surviving a polar bear attack
Matt Dwyer, from the US state of Maine, was hiking in the Canadian wilderness in 2013 when he was attacked by a polar bear. Attacks by these bears are rare, but expanding neighbourhoods mean that interactions between humans and other bear species are growing.
