Martin Lewis urges parents to check their childcare options
Parents have been left confused about how to claim Tax-Free Childcare because of the government鈥檚 labelling.
The scheme had been labelled as Tax-Free Childcare and Martin Lewis believes that a change of name will help parents to understand their eligibility more clearly.
Martin told Gethin Jones: 鈥淚t鈥檚 so poorly named it鈥檚 confusing. In my letter to the Chancellor, I鈥檝e actually asked her to rename it the 鈥淲orking Family Childcare Top Up鈥 because this is a top up on childcare for working parents aged 11 or younger, 16 or younger if they have a disability, who pay for childcare.鈥
This was the third step in a three step plan that Martin wanted people to go through if they needed childcare support over the summer holidays.
