New secrets unearthed at Arthur鈥檚 Stone
Discover the origins of the Neolithic Herefordshire monument, and the surprising finding in the vicinity that's incredibly rare for the West Midlands.
Arthur's Stone is a chambered tomb overlooking the Golden Valley, near Dorstone, between Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. At over 3,000 years old, its design is said to be the inspiration for C.S. Lewis, for the location where Aslan the lion was slain in 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe', with supposed historical links to the legend of King Arthur.
Our reporter Charlotte Broadbent discovers how archaeologists have found something they think is something special, and previously undiscovered, a stone circle.
