Braintree's amazing 1066 coin find
The medieval coins discovered in Braintree that ended up being sold for 拢325,000.
A hoard of Anglo-Saxon coins believed to have been buried in a Braintree field in 1066 and then rediscovered by two metal detectorists, ended up being sold for 拢325,000.
The collection, which were discovered in 2019, amounted to around 20 shillings at the time of their burial.
