Playing against Diego Simeone and his ‘remarkable’ job at Atletico Madrid
Champions League winner Paul Lambert is backing his former club Borussia Dortmund to reach this year’s semi-finals.
Lambert – who won the Champions League with Dortmund in 1997 – was speaking to Sport Today’s John Bennett ahead of the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
The former Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers manager also recalls his time playing against current Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone who he says has done a “remarkable” job as manager of the Spanish side.
