There's some worrying news for beer lovers: the British pint is under threat. The hop plant, on which its flavour depends, has been hit by climate change. Hot, dry summers have damaged farmers' yields and are threatening beer's distinctive taste. But now scientists using DNA technology are stepping in to help. Pallab Ghosh, the 麻豆社's science correspondent, has been to the pub and visited researchers to investigate.
