A Safer Internet - Our Lifetime Commitment
Bereaved parents, Esther Ghey and Ian Russell, have been united by grief and their drive for change.
Esther Ghey and Ian Russell have both suffered the devastating loss of a child. Brianna Ghey - who was 16 - was murdered by two teenagers in a park in Cheshire. Molly Russell - who was 14 and from north-west London - ended her own life overwhelmed by depression and the negative effects of social media.
In this podcast, we hear their parents - Esther and Ian - meet for the first time, and express their fears about what the online world is doing to young lives.
In a conversation arranged by the 麻豆社's Angus Crawford, both parents speak of their determination to work together to campaign in their children's names for an online world that is safer for all.
