'I don't recognise Gaza anymore'

Among the more than a million Palestinians sheltering in the southern Gazan city of Rafah is 27-year-old architect, Dina. She has been displaced five times since the Israeli offensive began following the Hamas-led attack on southern Israel on October 7.

The United Nations Chief, Antonio Guterres, has warned against a possible Israeli ground offensive in Rafah without a plan to evacuate civilians to a safe area of the Gaza strip.

Dina originally fled from northern Gaza with her family and two pet cats: "Every time you run away you leave your things behind and just run. We didn't think we would lose our house. I have lived in Gaza for 27 years, and I don't recognise it anymore."
