Can Patrick Mahomes challenge Tom Brady’s record Super Bowls?

The Kansas City Chiefs fought back to beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.

The Kansas City Chiefs fought back to beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime and win their third Super Bowl in five years.

A last-gasp field goal by the Chiefs made it 19-19 to send the game into overtime, and although the 49ers edged back in front, Patrick Mahomes' touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman saw Kansas City secure back-to-back titles – the first team to do so since the New England Patriots in 2005.

Mahomes has now won a third Super Bowl and comparisons are being made with fellow quarterback Tom Brady who won seven Super Bowl’s during his career.

NFL journalist Melissa Jacobs – managing editor of TheFootballGirl.com – speaks to Sport Today’s Maz Farookhi about the comparisons and whether the Las Vegas Super Bowl lived up to the hype.
