Vigil held for two men stabbed to death in Leicester
A vigil has been held for two men who were stabbed to death in Leicester.
Junior Osborne, 50, died after he was attacked in Narborough Road on 27 September and Sidney Palmer, 59, was fatally injured in Conduit Street on Saturday.
Two fatal stabbings in one week is unusual. According to the latest police figures - there were the same number of stabbing deaths across Leicestershire for the year up to March.
Last night campaigners gathered at the Clock Tower to remember the victims. Our reporter Giles Taylor spoke to people there, including organiser Kamala Smyle-Wisdom and John Palmer, eldest brother of Sid Palmer. And Ady Dayman spoke to Grace Strong, the Director of the Violence Reduction Network in Leicester, a group that works proactively to reduce knife crime.
