Vaping - Has the "safer than cigarettes" message backfired?
A leading paediatrician says the public health message that vapes are safer than cigarettes has failed children and ineeds to change to stop more youngsters taking up the habit.
A leading paediatrician has said the public health message that vapes are safer than cigarettes has failed children, and needs to be changed to stop more young people taking up the habit. The statement has been used in public policy since 2015 - when vaping was suggested as a way of getting adult smokers to quit. Speaking exclusively to the 麻豆社, Doctor Mike McKean, the Vice President of the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health, tells our Health Editor, Hugh Pym, that too many children that would never have smoked are now addicted to e-cigarettes.
