Netflix and Gaming

The streaming giant is expanding into mobile games. Is it a sign of how much gaming has grown as a form of entertainment?

If you think of Netflix, you're more likely to imagine a memorable TV show or film – Squid Game, perhaps, or The Crown. But it now wants to keep your attention for longer by branching out into the world of gaming. Video games, some of them tied directly to existing brands like Stranger Things, are part of the streaming giant's strategy to grow. It's a sign of how much gaming has developed as a form of mainstream entertainment. Currently the titles are only available on mobile devices but tests are underway to see how they could work on TVs and computers.
