In order of appearance:
Craig David (May 2003) – he’s already released his second album Slicker Than Your Average and had a couple of hit singles from it. The third single Rise & Fall (featuring Sting) has just come out and is headed for the Top 3, with Craig only days away from turning 22.
Britney Spears (October 2003) – popping by Steve Wright In The Afternoon one lunchtime, which leads to some chat about food and a not very glamourous snack. It’s only four years since the release of Britney’s debut single and debut album, yet we’re now approaching the release of In The Zone – her fourth album.
Ronan Keating (May 2002) – less than three years has passed since his final hit as a member of Boyzone, but Ronan’s already established himself as a solo artist with No.1 singles and a No.1 album. Having covered a country song for his first solo hit, Ronan’s done it again, as the first taste of his second album is a version of a Garth Brooks record. Here, he talks about why country songs work for him.
Westlife (November 2019) – 20 years after their first hit… they’re back!
Kian, Mark and Nicky discuss why Westlife have reformed and recorded the new album Spectrum – an album with a number of songs co-written by a fan of theirs called... Ed Sheeran.
Geri Halliwell / Horner (May 2001) – having left The Spice Girls, Geri released her first material as a solo artist in 1999. At this point in 2001, she’s almost constantly in the showbiz columns of the papers and the question of whether Ginger will ever get back together with Baby, Posh, Scary and Sporty is never far away. A cover of It’s Raining Men (which she’s recorded for the film Bridget Jones's Diary) is about to give Geri her fourth solo No.1 single.
Craig David (April 2023) – a new interview with Craig, recorded almost 20 years after Steve's earlier chat. Topics of discussion include his book What’s Your Vibe? Tuning Into Your Best Life and a 20th anniversary vinyl reissue of Craig’s 2002 album Slicker Than Your Average, plus honest reflections on his career so far – both the highs and the lows
