"My dad is a brave man, he’s staying in Sudan by choice but just hearing his voice would break your heartâ€
Rayann Edris spoke to GMU about her father Hamza. He recently travelled back to Sudan from his home in Ballymena to be at his mother’s funeral. However, after fighting broke out in the country Hamza made the decision to stay there as he didn’t want to leave his sister unsupported in a dangerous environment. Rayann told Joel Taggart that while her family has had some contact with Hamza, she hasn’t spoken to her dad in a week. The teenager described it as a terrifying time for her family as they are extremely worried for Hamza’s safety.
